Welcome

I'd like to warmly welcome you to William Cobbett Primary School and hope you enjoy finding out a little more about our friendly community school.  

Of course, there's nothing better than visiting a school to really get a feel for it, so I would strongly encourage you to come and see for yourself the warm, caring and hardworking staff and pupils.

Our school is defined by the supportive nature of the families that choose to send their children here, knowing that we strive to achieve the very best for every pupil in our care.  Our staff are passionate, patient, kind and skilled in getting the best out of each other and our children.  We expect all at William Cobbett Primary School to share in our vision for everyone to 'explore, learn and achieve'.  Valuing each individual for their own unique interests and talents and recognising achievement and success, whether in school or out of school, is central to what we do, with our weekly 'Celebration Assemblies' being a highlight of each week.  

The extra-curricular programme available to pupils at William Cobbett is a huge strength, with a wide variety of interests catered for.  Our children get opportunities to take part in a range of experiences during their time here, including residential visits, sports fixtures and festivals, art clubs, martial arts and even gardening.
